Welcome to a brand new website for a brand new team: Sumo Power GT.

Born out of a passion for racing and an even greater desire for winning, the team’s two awesome Nissan GT-Rs will compete for glory in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship, a 10-round series which visits 10 countries and four continents in its inaugural season. The team is run in association with NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International Co. Ltd.) and is based at its state-of-the-art premises in Rye, East Sussex.

All of the action, as it happens, will be reported on this website. So keep visiting for latest news, race results and updates on the team’s progress as it embarks on its epic journey around the world and visits some of the most exciting race circuits on the planet.

Latest News Sumo Power GT battles into the top-ten 29th August 2010 Nürburgring, GermanyFIA GT1 World Championship – Round Six, NürburgringChampionship Race report Both Sumo Power GT Nissan GT-Rs fought their way through the field in a tough round six of the FIA GT1 World Championship at Nürburgring today. Car 22, driven by Warren Hughes and Jamie Campbell-Walter, climbed from 16th on the gird up to an impressive eighth and car 23, driven by Michael Krumm and Peter Dumbreck, went from 20th to 15th, in a race that featured some hard, panel-beating action.With the results of yesterday’s race one determining the grid positions for today’s main Championship Race, it was going to be a tough call for both of the Sumo Power GT Nissans to claim a top-ten place.
